Scope
1.Works closely with business stakeholders/function/ functional DT manager for alignment of problem statement and possible solutions/products for business
2.Plan, lead and control of project activities as per PMX standards
3.Management of 3rd party and vendors; overall quality control of deliverables
4.Sustains critical functional knowledge in area of Demand and Analytics products for the segment. This role is a Royal Canin vacancy, and it's part of the overall Segment Deployment team, but each Senior Project Manager/ Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of separate functional projects.
Key Responsibilities
1.Budget: Manages deployment of up to $1M in annual projects, securing benefits delivery through expert management of quality, costs and time.
2.Determines business process and information requirements, gains unit commitment, and delivers effective business process and system changes.
3.Working across Segment DT and Application Support Teams, determines system functional requirements, and completes design in line with overall project aims.
4.Oversees the build and delivery of business application through Development team and ensures successful handover to Application Support Teams.
5.Maintains a thorough understanding of relevant business area to aid in the development of accurate and concise functional requirements.
6.Applies technical and functional knowledge to design solutions which are in line with technical architecture, database design and performance requirements; and which are appropriate given the context within which they will be implemented.
7.Analyzes business and systems impact of the solution and plans detailed tasks required to achieve delivery of the fully tested solution.
8.Coordinates internal and 3rd party resources during development, implementation and nurturing phases.
9.During the build and implementation phases, carries out activities to configure software packages and/or manage technical resources or vendors.
10.Delivers solutions which are quality and functionally tested, with supporting project documentation which meet functional and technical requirements.
11.Applies Mars competitive bidding process to run simple competitive bidding events, ensure associated governance is adhered to, and allocate business to suppliers.
12.Utilizes the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool for planning resources, project milestones, risks and financials.
13.Engages Segment DT Senior Managers & Managers, and business unit Directors to ensure successful project deployment and benefits achievement via proper change management for these deployments.
14.Manages projects benefit deliveries by having an early discovery and alignment on responsible, target dates and metrics or indicators.
15.Demonstrates knowledge and applicability of proven Project Governance, Management, and Delivery approaches, with an ability to flex my approach according to the Project
16.Encourages others into collaborative ways of working; using new digital methods and tools such as Agile, Design Thinking, Analytics and drive the “Zero Distance to the Customer” agenda.
17.Understand and deliver Mars, Incorporated requirements for financial information using analytical tools and judgment to derive business insights in order to fully understand our financial performance and the drivers of performance.
1.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
2.Project management certification (PMI or SCRUM)
3.5+ years’ work experience in Digital Technologies
4.5+ years’ experience leading technical and functional teams
5.Min 5 years in project management experience
6.Knowledge of IT solutions and/or relevant business area
7.Knowledge of specific < business functional area> a plus
8.Knowledge on Financial basis for project budgeting and financial planning.
